We're very honored to have gotten this recognition from Docademia.  The festival in Chicago this year was themed around gun violence, and the subject of our film Srinivas Kutchibhotla was the unfortunate victim of gun violence.  The award was juried by Kim A. Synder, whose recent film Newtown tells the story of the devastating mass shooting in Connecticut.Hopefully this will give the film more opportunities to screen in classrooms around the country.Although no one from the filmmaking team was able to attend, director Sofian Khan was able to record an acceptance speech that was played (after some technical difficulties) for the audience.DoWeBelong__Docademia3 DoWeBelong_Docademia2 SofianKhan_Docademia_remote
