On Location in Germany, Greece & Turkey for 'The Interpreter'

We're back from two and a half weeks of filming in Europe & Turkey with former interpreters who have given up on getting their Special Immigrant Visas from the US and have decided to leave Afghanistan as refugees to cross illegally into Europe.  This chapter of the documentary will follow the segment we filmed in Afghanistan, where we saw the circumstances under which these interpreters are living after the war.  Although preference is currently being given to Syrian refugees coming into Europe, and Afghanistan has been classified as safe and not in a state of war, it's clear that many Afghans are living in danger from the Taliban and other militants-- especially former interpreters.TheInterpreter_Documentary copy SofianKhan_TheInterpreter_Greece SofianKhan_Interpreter_Documentary copy AndresCaballero_TheInterpreter copy
